Forthcoming Events
Below is a list of forthcoming events to be held at Asti Equestrian. Unless otherwise stated these events are organised by Asti Equestrian and are open to Asti clients and other riders. Everyone is welcome with their own horse or use one of ours. Beginners and experienced riders are catered for in all activities. Events must be paid for when booking. Thursday night Show Jump Clinic, run weekly at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm for all ages and abilities.
Wednesday 27th August – Friday 29nd August
ASTI EQUESTRIAN FUN SUMMER CAMP is open to everyone. Fun activities dependent upon weather conditions, suitable for children of all ages and abilities, which may include stable management, handling, grooming, plaiting, tack cleaning, riding and gymkhana games, etc. Asti horses/ponies are available to book for the duration of the camp. Grass or stabled livery available for you to bring your own ponies/horses. Places and horses/ponies limited so book early to avoid disappointment – first come, first served! The Achievement Badges that will be taking place at camp are 'Dressage Arena' and/or 'Flags of the Equestrian Nations'. Details of what will be required available in the tuition office.

Asti Equestrian Summer Camps are open to everyone.
Asti horses/ponies available to book for camp.
Grass or stabled livery available for own ponies.
Places and horses/ponies limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

Non-refundable £50 deposit required with booking, balance payable 2 months prior to start of camp.
Note: Asti Horses/Ponies booked for camp may be subject to change.
A rough itinerary is as follows:
10.00am – Arrive and groom/attend to pony
10.30/10.45am – Ride
11.30am – Juice run
11.45 – Ride or Stable Management or Badges
12.30pm – Lunch and play
2.00pm – Ride or Activities as decided by your instructor – dependent upon weather conditions
3.30pm – Clean tack, tidy ponies and turnout
4.00pm – Home
PARENTS - Are asked to provide a course of food for instructors on any day, or help with the juice run or supervise the play equipment at mid-day. Please check with the yard office and put your names down asap. Please ensure you give your completed details to the office.
CLOTHING - If you are a Pony Club Member please wear your Pony Club sweatshirt. Otherwise wear tidy clothes suitable for riding and bring ‘play clothes’. Please pack wet weather gear if applicable. Please remember to wear long sleeves when riding.
FOOD – Parents please remember to provide food for your child for mid-day.
HEALTH & SAFETY - Please check you have read our Health & Safety regulations and are aware of the locations of the First Aid posts and Fire precautions.
Friday 12th September
Finals for Novelty Novice Summer Show Jumping League 2008. (Please see schedule).
Saturday 25th October
COMBINED TRAINING & CLEAR ROUND JUMPING. (Possible Cross Country Clear Round, dependant on ground conditions).
Dressage &/or Show Jumping. Schedules available in Tuition Office. All Welcome. Lots of prizes and rossettes to everyone. Dressage Only £5.50, Dressage + Jumping £8.00 per class. A small charge of £5 will be required for those clients wishing to book Asti horses. (Dressage test will probably be the walk & trot on/off lead, Prelim 4 and Prelim14).
Tuesday 28th October
OBH PONY CLUB WORKING RALLY open to all branch and centre members. Groups will be spilt according to abilities and take part in flatwork, show jumping and cross country. First session 10.00am, additional sessions dependent on numbers. If on lead rein parents or guardian must remain present to lead. Please call Claire Lisi on 01367 710288 to book. £5 – subsidised by The OBH Pony Club. Centre Members may use a yard pony for this rally at a fee of £8.00.
Thursday 30th October
HALLOWEEN HAUNT 10am–1pm A fun morning, ideal for the novice rider, including stable management plus fun riding and gymkhana games. You will need to bring treats for the ponies and scary costumes for both pony and rider – prize for best costume. £30.
Friday 31st October
TRAINING MORNING – For the more experienced rider. Working on flatwork and over S/J and C/C fences, dependant on ability and weather. £30.
Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th November
CHRISTMAS DISCOUNT WEEKEND. Mince Pies and Mulled Wine to all. Massive reductions on selected items along with discount on all stock, a sale rail everything under £10. (excludes feed & supplements)
Additional Activities
MADE TO MEASURE DAYS - We can provide made to measure days on request during the holiday all we need is 4 or more people adult or child.
PARTIES - For those looking for a party with a difference we can offer horsey parties here at Asti - bring your own food and we'll organise tables, chairs, use of trampoline, garden slides and horse riding activities for the party group.
OFF ROAD HACKING - We can also offer hacking over local farm land for small groups.
MINI CROSS COUNTRY/SHOW JUMPING/DRESSAGE RALLY - We would be happy to organise mini-cross country jumping/show jumping/dressage rally if enough people are interested. If you would like us to arrange this please speak to your instructor.
TRAINING - We can also provide training for Pony Club exams/Brownie or Guide Exams as required.
HACKING - We can also offer hacking in small group rides over nearby farmland throughout the summer. Ask for details.
